Are there any good websites for free consumer reports on products?

Are there any sites out there (aside from Consumer Reports that you have to pay for) that have product reviews, possibly user submitted ones? I don’t want the company telling me how good their product is, I’d like to hear from actual people who’ve used the stuff. I’m a college student I can’t actually afford a subscription to the actual Consumer Reports, but I’d like to make informed purchases when I do buy stuff. Thanks!
