It is suggestable to read the reviews on websites like Highdefdigest
The idea a blu-ray yes has room and ability to provide such better quality. BUT it has to be done well at the studio. Indeed the studio has to make the magic happen and if it is a lousy conversion the quality isn’t as much better as the DVD. So read the reviews…

holy shit, i’d regret it so much if i bought a 1000 blu ray player before, but it doesn’t matter now because those phones that can play movies, and tv shows are like taking over now, i hate that. why the would you wanna watch sport in a screen that’s the size of your palm ? or why would you want to watch avatar on a tiny screen when you can watch it on a 50 inch screen with high def resolution ?

@Bravesfan4500, yeah. IsleOfRed seems to think cinemas show films in blu-ray quality! I would notice that quality in the cinema, and some how I think tickets would be steep in price..
